FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

No jargon. Clear answers.

Does TaxPilot file my tax return for me?+

No. TaxPilot prepares a clean, canton-ready summary and checklist. You make the final submission via your canton's official tax software. Final responsibility remains with you.

Is TaxPilot a replacement for a fiduciary?+

TaxPilot is a preparation assistant, not a licensed tax advisor. For complex situations we recommend the Expert plan with a Swiss-licensed reviewer, or consulting a fiduciary.

Which documents can TaxPilot extract?+

Salary certificates, bank statements, insurance premiums, pillar 3a receipts, childcare invoices, mortgage statements, donation receipts, medical bills, and investment statements.

Which cantons are supported?+

All 26 Swiss cantons, with localized rules, limits, and forms.

How is my data protected?+

Documents are encrypted at rest and in transit, hosted in Switzerland, and accessible only by you. See our Security page for details.

Can expats and cross-border workers use TaxPilot?+

Yes. TaxPilot supports expat scenarios and cross-border workers. For complex international situations we recommend the Expert plan with human review.

Which languages are supported?+

TaxPilot is available in English, German, French, and Italian.

How much does it cost?+

Free is CHF 0. Standard is CHF 49 per tax year. Pro is CHF 99 per tax year. Expert (1-on-1 Swiss-licensed tax expert review) is CHF 249 per tax year. See the Pricing page.

Can I delete my data?+

Yes — permanently, at any time, from your account settings.
